2 children drown in sand mining pit in Gaya village

 

Patna | May 24, 2016: Two children, identified as Ankit (12) and Anand (8) of Kalher village of Sherghati, in Gaya district drowned in a sand mining pit full of water on Tuesday. They jumped into the water to take a bath, but drowned. Angry villagers torched several vehicles, including four trucks, six dumpers, a tractor and a police jeep. Magadh range DIG Saurav Kumar said, "City SP Avakash Kumar has rushed to Sherghati and the situation is under control.
