KOLKATA | May 23, 2016: State-owned copper major, Hindustan Copper Limited has received the Industry Leadership Award - Base Metals at the 2016 Platts Global Metals Awards, held in London on May 19, 2016.
The award ceremony was hosted by S&P Global Platts, a leading global energy, metals and commodities information provider. The annual awards program honours exemplary performance in fifteen categories spanning the entire steel, metals and mining fraternity. K D Diwan , chairman HCL received the award on behalf of the company.
"With each year, entries for the awards program become more competitive and winning is no small feat," said Imogen Dillon Hatcher, President of S&P Global Platts, said while complimenting Co congratulate HCL for its win. Metals and steel industry executives from around the world attended the 2016 black-tie awards ceremony at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in central London. Winners in fifteen performance categories received honors on stage, having been selected by an independent panel of judges.
