INDORE | Jan 31, 2016: Union minister of steel, mines, labour and employment, Narendra Singh Tomar, on Sunday said they are working to develop plastic parks across the country while efforts are also on to create a business-friendly environment.
Visiting Indore on the third day of 'Industrial Engineering Expo and Plastpack 2016',Tomar said, "To boost small and medium scale industries, we are working to develop the industry culture. Small industries are the largest job creators and our aim is to provide them with all possible assistance. For the development of businesses, Central government has initiated 'Make in India', 'Stand Up India, Start Up India' and many other programmes."
Future Communications in association with Indian Plastpack had organised the expo to help manufacturers, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and investors reap rich dividends in Indore. The expo is aimed at focusing on the latest technologies and providing strategic industry insights. "Investor sentiments and confidence are probably the best indicators of economic health and future possibilities of a region. One of the most prominent investment hubs in the potent state is Indore, which houses big brands.
The region offers potentially lower cost, necessary and inexpensive infrastructure and suitable business environment that companies can leverage," said Yogesh Mehta, Secretary, AIMP. Around 200 companies participated in the four-day expo. The four-day trade exhibition showcased products from diverse industry verticals such as auto components and accessories, general engineering, castings and forgings, electrical and electronics.
Earlier, AKVN had made the announcement for developing a 'plastic park' on 121 acres of land at Tamot village of Raisen district, in proximity of Bhopal. Kumar Purushottam, Manging Director, Audhyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam, said, "We are working for the development of this region into an industrial hub. Even the long-pending demand of industrialists about the convention centre will be considered. We are working on it and hope that soon a place would be finalised for it," he added.
