Birkur (Nizamabad) | Jan 24, 2016: Bodhan divisional DSP Venkateshwarlu warned those who were indulging in illegal mining that they would be arrested and tried under the Preventive Detention Act.
He paid a surprise visit to the police station at Birkur mandal headquarters on Saturday and examined the police records. He enquired from Sub-Inspector of Police Bharat Kumar about the number of cases that were filed. He warned that stringent action would be taken against those who try to indulge in sand mining from the banks of River Manjira.
