Godawari Power & Ispat gets Environment Board approval for Iron Ore mining

Godawari Power & Ispat announced that the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board, vide its letters dated 6 January 2016 has granted its consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1981, for total Iron Ore Mining area of 138.96 ha (Existing 106.60 ha operational and additional 32.36 ha -expanded) in Ari Dongri Iron Ore Mines, Village Kachche, Dist: Uttar Baster, Kanker, Chhattisgarh.

 

The Company has already carried out preparatory works for commencement of operations and the commercial operations are expected to commence within a couple of days in the expended mining area. Post commencement of commercial operations in enhanced mining area, the entire requirement of iron ore of the company shall be met from captive iron ores upon achievement of full production in captive iron ore mines, leading to cost savings.
