The tehsil administration in Khari here today stopped illegal mining from a nullah in the area, warning of strict action against violators of law.
Officials said Tehsildar Khari ordered one Rajesh Kumar to remove his men and machinery from Khari Nachlana Nullah immediately “as he was illegally carrying on mining”.
The Tesildar warned the violators to stop such activities or face punitive action. Pertinently, mining activities are threatening the embankments of the nullah which in the long run may result in a catastrophic natural calamity apart from affecting the aquatic life.
